Rabbi Eliezer ben Yaakov

Rabbi Eliezer ben Ya'akov is a Tana (a Jewish scholar from the period of the Mishnah,) who lived during the time of the Second Temple and after the destruction of the Second Temple [1st century AD] in the Talmud he is credited with the compilation of Tractate Midot. It is said of him that "from his school of thought kav and clean” – an expression used in ancient time to denote pure and clean beyond flaw. Thus, his school of thought was well accepted among the judges of the Halacha to give priority to his opinion over other judges of his time. His grave is located near the village of Hanania, in the Galilee, in the north part of Israel

My story with the Holy Tana

On the day of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai's remembrance rejoicing, the gates to Mount Meron were closed to the public. However, my soul wanted the light of the righteous and I asked to see him on his day. Thus, I got a message in a thought of going to Peki'in to the cave of the Rabbi where he stayed with his son Eleazar for 13 years and where the prophet received from Elijah all the secrets of the Torah. So I asked a friend to come along and she was very happy and we set off.
We left Tiberias, where I spent a few days in the direction of Paki'in, to the cave of the Holy Rabbi. On the way we sang and rejoiced and enjoyed landscapes immersed in the greenery of the scenes, where a magical mountain horizon accompanied us along the road. While driving I recognized a concrete dome painted in a shade of light blue located on a hill on the right side of the road. I stopped the car on the side of the road and told my friend let's visit the righteous here and she immediately agreed to go up the hill with me and visit the Tzaddik, we went up the stairs and reached the entrance of a cave and entered.
Inside, my friend remained at the entrance of the cave and I went down into the cave to pay my respect to the tzaddik. I opened the holy Zohar in Sifra Datsaniota, lit a candle for the tzaddik and began to say my prayer to the tzaddik Hatana Rabbi Elazar ben Yaakov (it should be noted that at this time I still did not know who he was, what was attributed to him, and in what period he lived). During my prayer for the tzaddik, my friend stood at the entrance of the cave with a phone camera in her hand pointing in my direction. I didn't know that either, during my prayer to the tzaddik I was immersed in the Zohar book and apart from the sound of the prayer that came out of my throat I didn't see anything, I didn't feel anything physical, only an exaltation as sweet as honey that the mind can't grasp, it's a feeling of physical disconnection. Connecting a soul with a peak energy that does not belong to the worlds of matter or form. At the end of my prayer to the tzaddik which lasted for about twenty continuous minutes, I returned to the earthly sensations and woke up, said goodbye to the Divine condition and went up the stairs in the direction of my friend who was standing at the entrance of the cave. My friend was excited and said to me "I wish I could pray like you" I answered her "you can too", prayer is for everyone". We got into the car and then she said, "did you see what was there while you were praying?" I answered her, "No" I was disconnected", she showed me the video she took and said "look at the light that enveloped you while you were praying, -a holy radiance. The light is so strong that you appear blurred in the photo". "I was amazed to see the clip and the strong light that enveloped me, I saw that a white and strong light came out of the veil and the cave that surrounded me every step of my prayer to the righteous, the truth is that I felt a great light inside me and a physical disconnection but I did not know that my friend saw this light, and I did not know that it was being filmed.
We arrived in Paki'in to the Hershabi Cave. I was happy that I was given the privilege to go to the Hershabi Cave for the first time in my life. I offered my prayer to the Holy Rabbi in the cave and we set off back to Tiberias. When we arrived at my friend's house, we still continued to talk about the discovery of light in the cave of Rabbi Eliezer ben Ya'akov. I decided to ask her some questions, like where she thought the light came from. And again and again, she continued to insist that what she had seen right in front of her eyes, and this was also filmed, there is no doubt about it as far as she was concerned, and she further said, "the righteous do not remain indebted to those who pray for them, and another holy glow". When I returned from Tiberias to my home in Jerusalem, I checked who the Tana Rabbi Eliezer ben Ya'akov was, and when I realized that he was the owner of a "Tract of Midos" and that he was one of the strictest in Midos (laws for character traits), only then did I understand what his connection was to me and since I am involved, and teach about Midos or character refinement. It must be assumed that I am from his root, and therefore he was revealed through light to give me healing and strength to continue my mission.
In addition to the fact that he contributed to me a wonderful testimony of the revelation of his holy light on the day of the 3rd Ba'Omer 2023 in one holy cave in the north of Israel, but the most important thing for me was to discover the power of my prayer and the weight of my mission and the holy Tana definitely established with strong stakes what I knew and hid even from myself. This spiritual experience enlightened me in faith and action, and action in faith.
