Rabbi Shalom Aharon Shmueli

Rabbi Shalom Shmueli is an elder of the Kabbalists. His nickname is "Saba Kadisha", a hidden tzaddik
who was involved in the study of Kabbalah all his life. Rabbi Shalom was a student of Rabbi Mordechai
Sharabi Z’’l, Rabbi Shalom served as the head of the Nahar Shalom Kabbalistic Yeshiva in Jerusalem
during his lifetime, Rabbi Shalom is the father of Rabbi Beniyahu Shmueli Shlita the Kabbalistic Tzadik
who today serves as the head of the Nahar Shalom yeshiva (founded by Rabbi Mordechai Sharabi Z'l).
Shalom passed away in good health on 23 Sivan Tashpad (2024), and his resting place is in the Sanhedria
Cemetery in Jerusalem, Israel.
Rabbi Shalom Tsadik was extremely hidden, modest and humble, he talked little, and all his life he
immersed himself in the Secrets of the Torah. He lived in a modest and small house, although there
were not many options to live otherwise, he chose with extreme modesty and left behind righteous
descendants who dedicate themselves to the study of the Torah and Kabbalah for the redemption of
Israel.
My story with Rabbi Shalom Shmueli Z’’l
A few years before the tzaddik's death, I had a dream. In the dream, I saw myself lying with my body
chained to an iron bed located on a Jerusalem balcony what seemed to be on the second floor. In the
dream, my limbs felt heavy and painful, and I could not move my arms and legs. Only the poor could see
the narrow road visible from under the balcony bars. And there I saw a line of Abreichim or Torah
scholars walking. And among them I noticed a wheelchair on which Rabbi Shalom Shmuel Z’l was sitting.
When his chair came under my window he slightly raised his hand and the abrechim or Torah students
stopped the wheelchair he was sitting on under my window. I cried out to him for help without making
any sound. The tzaddik raised his head slightly muttering holy words with his holy mouth. My ears heard
the sentence he mumbled but without understanding what it meant, and I woke up from the dream
early in the morning and remembered every detail of it except the sentence he muttered in his holy
mouth.
The story was during the covid period, when the world was in chaos. That year I closed all my businesses
in the center of the country and moved to Jerusalem. I was not yet sick with covid, and I did not know
how to interpret the dream I had and I decided to call my good friend Rabanit Ruth Talita, the
granddaughter of Rabbi Shalom Shmuel Z'l and tell her about the dream. My friend was very happy and
said to me: "You must meet him, I will talk to my brother Rabbi Shimon and tell him that you need to see
Grandpa, but you know, I'm warning you in advance: Grandpa doesn't talk to anyone and he doesn't
look at anyone either. We are his grandchildren, and he never spoke or blessed us out loud, so you
should know that if you go, be prepared for that. What is important is that you see him and Rabbi
Shimon will tell him in his ear to bless your name and that is enough. So that you know that my
grandfather is a great hidden tzaddik, I have already informed Rabbi Shimon that you are coming
tomorrow morning to the Nahar Shalom Yeshiva and wait for them outside when they leave the prayer
for the house, let me know how it went, bless you Tzadika," that's what she said and we hung up."
I immediately took it upon myself to agree to all the terms and conditions, the next morning I excitedly
ran to the tzaddik and waited outside as agreed with my friend Rabanit Ruth (his granddaughter).
At the exact time that Rabbi Shimon and Rabbi Shalom Shmueli were already in front of me, I turned to
Rabbi Shimon and said, "Ruth sent me to receive a blessing," and he asked: "Ayalah"? I answered: "Yes,
Ayala Bat…" I sat down on the road under the feet of Rabbi Shalom Shmueli Z'l and said: "Holy tzaddik,
yesterday I had a dream about you, please, holy tzaddik, bless me."
Rabbi Shimon was a little stressed and said to me, "We are in a hurry", Rabbi Shalom raised his hand a
little and slowly (as he had done in the dream) looked right into my face in my eyes, slowly raised his
hand above my head while I was on my lap and bowed my head under his hand, muttering a sentence in
a clear voice -I did not understand what he muttered in his holy mouth-. I was completely moved by his
blessing and the face that shone like a boy and his eyes were clear and clean like that of a child, it was
one of the most heavenly moments I have experienced in all my years.
After the blessing Rabbi Shimon and Rabbi Shalom Shmueli continued their way and I immediately called
Rabanit Ruth and excitedly told her everything that had happened. She almost refused to believe it and
said: "Then he declared you pure in your righteousness, blessed you be."
After his death, I fell ill with covid, and my body did not move from the bed. My body became stiff and I
could not raise my hand. I was alone in my house, and I had no one to call to help me. Even if I wanted
to, I could not make any movement, even the lightest, but to my astonishment, this illness stayed with
me for only one hour, after which I got up as if nothing had happened, my body was as light as a feather
and my mood was happy and calm.
After this happened, I remembered the dream and the blessing of the Tzaddik and realized that I was
under Divine Supervision, "Neither shall slumber nor sleep the keeper of Israel" and the hidden tzaddik
"Saba Kadisha" was early to arrive in the dream to warn me that I should come and receive his blessing
to cancel the hold of the shells or kelipot before the disease grew, and thus was "the tzaddik decrees
and the holy one, blessed be he, sustains".
(The first testimony is Rabanit Ruth Shlit’a, the granddaughter of the tzaddik and Rabbi Shimon, the
grandson and great grandson of Rabbi Shalom Aharon ben Rachel Z'l, may his right protect us, Amen.)
He should only hear good news,
Ayala Shlucha
